Ivory Coast's Gbagbo Reiterates Refusal to Surrender (ContributorNetwork)
ContributorNetwork - Although both French and United Nations officials reported on Tuesday that Ivory Coast President Laurent Gbagbo, who has refused to relinquish his position of power despite losing official elections held in his country last November, had both called for a cease-fire and agreed to negotiate his surrender, Gbagbo is claiming that this is not the case. He has maintained his right to remain president despite persistent international calls for him to step down.
